I live in a rural area prone to heavy deluges and wind storms. If enough trees knock out power lines, we're usually out of power for days or weeks. Which in turn knocks out communications (broadband and cell tower batteries after approximately a day). Sometimes we lose water at the same time if there's flooding alongside the winds.
