I work full-time first shift and just joined the Literacy Council at work, I don't know how much time I'll have. I do have hobbies, kids and a boyfriend oh and can't forget my doggo.

Hey MM! Queen Mud is a very close friend of mine. I think we've been friends for about 14 years now. I can say something to her for you but I don't think she does forums anymore.

You have an photo that you took,..... you send it to someone via text, it gets compressed,......
the original photo gets deleted from your phone,....... all you have is the one you sent by text.

That picture, when up-sized, looks grainy, unclear, and,.........
Question: Can a photo that has been re-sized, compressed, etc., because it was sent by text,........
can that photo be restored to its original state, (size, clarity, etc), in Photoshop? (or another program?).

Queen did a small job for me in Illustrator about 10 years ago, her work was perfect.

If you could ask her that question,..... and be sure to say hello for me, I would appreciate it.

It kinda depends on how much it has to be blown up but modern image editors have AI-assisted artifact cleaning, de-noising, and other tools that make it at least possible.

Of course having the original instead of doing a restoration job is always preferable.

I hope you can get your hands on a copy.

It's like this,.......

My daughter had some kind of Glitch on her phone,..... lost about 2700 photos.
I steered her toward some software,...... she recovered all but 4 pics that were in a separate file.
Those 4 pics,..... that file,..... just gone.
She is smart, tried everything, those photos were important,.... so "Murphy's Law" got her.

If they had not been in a separate file,.... odds are they would have come back with the rest.

Just bad luck
