I love animals, but watching them get old sucks.

Took Luna in for a vet visit because her eye looked like one of the cats clawed her. It was something stuck in her eye, and it came out 30 minutes before her appointment. The Dr. informed us to not get into the habit of rearranging the house because her other eye is forming a cataract. She's almost blind in one eye already.

I can relate. We've always had dogs in our home. Having to put them down due to age or any other issues is heartbreaking.

I've mostly had cats and reptiles. Luna is my soul dog. She never fails to wag her tail, she's never not happy. She greets everyone like she hasn't seen them in years. She's gentle with my grandson, even though children make her severely anxious. She loves cats, and most of them love her back. It's not her time, but how do you know when it's time? I never want to watch another one of my fur babies suffer.

I know. Eddie, our lab/pit mix just turned 9 last month.

We have two cats and one of them is 6 and the other is 5. It seems like they were tiny kittens just yesterday. Time goes too fast.

I love him and his name! I wouldn't want the grooming responsibility, though. We have a domestic shorthair tabby with a thick undercoat. We have to use my Labradoodles dethatcher on her first and work our way down to the cat brush.

Too true. He needs to be combed out everyday. He doesn’t like it very much.

I wasnt attached to GP, Ive grieved , I make their time the best I can while they are here and now never leave their side till they depart.. but I dont own property so the corpse gets collected by the city

Do you have to trim the fur in his toe beans too? My Prudence gets a lot of toe bean fur.

Hello Dove. I usually take him to get trimmed and his claws clipped. He’s really a great pet.

Doggo and our senior cat come running when they see the dethatcher. They love it and being brushed.

I had my last cat that passed cremated. I have her ashes and it cost about $400 for everything and she passed at home. Not cheap. I try to give a dignified ending after they pass to the best of my ability. I tend to like animals more than people.
