Senile @Joe does not own a vehicle.

And you would like to own 14.

What makes you so special?
This gold stack I bought since last year has risen over 30% Lex While your Muscle car has fallen by 30% in value.

That's a 60% differential when you compare us. Mine has gone up while yours has gone down - significantly.

so I while paid less for the gold than your car last year, it's worth now more than your car Lex.

And it's just sat gathering dust.

Another reason to avoid overpaying for cars, eh?

Try telling that to Senile @Joe.

And yourself.

I posted a picture of my 2023 C8 Corvette in the "Purchased" thread a few years ago and you two have talked about my car in 2,342 threads and counting.

It seems that my 2023 C8 Corvette is very important to your life.

Given the insurance premiums, maintenance and gas you pay, you would be better off renting that car Lex @The Prowler.

That could save you big $ & still provide you with that thrill if re-living your adolescence you've apparently outgrown

Here's one such service in my town, Lex:

Your car is listed.

PPPics.jpeg

C8 Corvette.
$599/Day

Given that you don't use your car in the winter, you have this fast depreciating asset that sits on blocks for 6 months of the year. Given that you get maybe 2 months of summer where you live? And filled with flies and mosquitoes biting your neck all the time? I remember what it was like when I visited Eastern Canada during the summer, eh?

If you just rented or leased, you might be better off.

From what I understand lease payments can be used as a business expense or tax deduction.

So for only $109,500, I could drive that car for exactly six months!?!?!?!?

I must be crazy for buying it and enjoying it for years and years....

You do know that 5 is greater than 4, right Senile @Joe?

Not many, no.

I just Googled that, to try to figure out what you are talking about....

One place is 120 km away from me....the next closest is over an 1,100km drive.

I think you hear rumours, exaggerate them, generalize them, and then believe them....

Do you think you'll be getting a lot of Mosquitoes next summer where you live Lex @The Prowler?

I doubt it.

There will be some, but they do not even bother me. Sometimes when on a walk my wife will slap my back or my arm and say "Did you not feel that? It was a mosquito."

Now, there is usually a week or so when deer flies are bad in the forest in my neighbourhood. Really bad. They dive bomb my bald head.

But I am not a whining little pussy, so I shrug it off.

....that's why you're always so angry and full of aggression, eh Lex?

So you take it out on others in this forum.

While normal people think a car is just a car, you flash photos of your carsbecause it's a 'vehicle' for your aggression.

So it compensates for your bald head and ugly face.

Am I right Lex @The Prowler?

We opted to go the travel trailer route. With a trailer, you tow the trailer, park it, and then you have your towing vehicle to use to get around...

RV's like that are great, but you need to bring along another mode of transportation on some trips. On some trips, a couple of bicycles would be enough. But some trips you really need a car or SUV or truck to do what you want to do: Drive into town, drive to nearby attractions, etc. etc. etc.

Just giving you some advice before you spend 86,734 US dollars and regret it.

I was responding to the OP not making purchase plans. Besides I have 2 high end e-bikes that get 90 miles a charge and go 30 mph pedal assist (not throttle powered), not to mention a forever pass to all the national state parks in america for free. Want to see them? They're pretty fucking cool.

Wouldn't need a second vehicle.

It would limit you.

My wife and I have two e-bikes that we take on trips, but we really need the Jeep for many excursions.

I can give you many recent examples. Here is one. Last year my wife and I did a trip to Washington, DC and Philadelphia. We stayed at campgrounds outside of each city. To get into the cities, we drove on highways. We went to see an MLB night game. With e-bikes, we would not have been able to drive on highways into the cities. We would not have wanted to bike back in the dark after a night game. Not having a vehicle like a car or an SUV or a truck would really limit our options when we vacation with our trailer.

What do you mean by "national state parks in america"?

There are National Parks, and there are State Parks.

I have a pass in my home state for all the state parks, but this forever pass is for every national park in every state. Sorry, i misspoke. I think of all national parks as state parks as well. Most of them are.

I'm often reminded of Lex @The Prowler 's purchase of his Corvette Musclecar in which he claimed to have spent or was listed for $118-120,000 Canadian or approx $90,000 US dollars.

But it brings up the question, could a car buyer do better than that?

I'm inclined to believe they could.

Say by purchasing 2 vintage cars 1 new or almost new one.

However this is only personal opinion but if anyone here was actually given $90,000 US under the condition that it had to be spent only for the purchase of automobiles, what kind (s) would you buy?

And ther other condition is you must spend the entire budget. Not a penny left over after all the purchases are made/spent

Or would you buy a single car and blow all of your budget on that?

Serious replies only please.

No.

You only hurt yourself Lex @The Prowler & increase your risk for hypertension, stroke & heart attacks later in life, Lex.

Like the man says...

....You're a Bald an Angry Man just like him.

You come out here to lash out at others to vent your frustration and anger.

But it's not healthy, Lex. See a therapist, get a hair transplant or both.

It would change your outlook on life for the better.

I know winters are rough in your part of the world, but at least try to hang in there til Springtime, eh?

It would change your outlook on life for the better.

So....and I love doing this.....let me take a quick look at my calendar for the week...

Sunday evening (just past) I refereed hockey.

Monday, I am having two musicians over at about 4:30pm for a jam session. Then I referee hockey at 10pm.

Tuesday, I play pickleball at 2pm with my wife and another couple. We usually play for 1.5-2 hours.

Wednesday, I walk dogs at the Shelter late in the afternoon. Then I am having dinner with a group of umpires. I think we expect there to be 10 of us there.

Thursday I will be designated driver for my wife as she is going out with some friends.

Friday I play pickup hockey in the afternoon, and we will probably make plans to have a social/game night with friends.

Saturday I referee hockey at 9pm.

I will probably be jamming at least once more sometime in the week. And every day I walk my own dog for around an hour. And I am currently enjoying playing Mass Effect Andromeda. And I still hold a spot in the Top 15 in the world at Conquer Club. And I am the World Heavyweight Champion at The Furnace, where I also share the Doubles Team Championship title.

My life is a healthy balance of enjoyable activities with enough free time to psychologically demolish a bunch of people on Bastard Factory.

Seriously Joe, I’d buy another one of these. They’re not imported to many countries. It’s a Toyota Hi Lux. it has a 3000 cc diesel engine. It’s not a Tacoma. Rugged and dependable as any vehicle can be. I believe they are banned in the US for unfair competition
