I love B movies. I love B movies more then big money Hollywood ventures. I think it stems from years of watching Joe Bob Briggs Drive Thru and having access to multiple video stores back in the day. There’s just something authentic about a bad movie that people have enough faith in that they can convince others to invest their money into making.
Happily, Naked Obsession is one of those movies. It’s that direct to video soft core porn with an actual story. A story so bad….it’s good.
William Katt is a political candidate who’s car breaks down on the bad side of town and he’s stuck in a world of strippers, killers, and somebody who just may be his guardian angel.
The best scene- NFL star Roger Craig has a cameo as a detective who chases somebody like he’s running for the end zone.
Rick Dean steals the show with the best performance, which sadly turned out to be his last one.
Maria Ford is at her most beautiful. Full bush, too.
I cannot give this movie a bad rating. The music is excellent for a B movie, the script is clichéd, but they give the best zingers to Dean. If your looking for Battleship Potemkin, your not gonna find it here.
