I feel bad for some of the cops who clearly didn't want to be there, but they were.... and they're all cowards until they stand up to this bullshit in their ranks or quit.

It happens in the UK too, I recall a video in a park in London where the police go in full force waving their batons, only the people fight back and the police have to retreat from a huge mob Lulz.
