It will get political because the article is political with a lot of emotionally charged language.
The end was a real kicker.....and this is the kind of manipulation that impacts your view of other people
"
Mississippi had one of America’s most ambitious post-pandemic reopenings. In March, the state’s Republican governor, Tate Reeves, lifted all mask mandates months ahead of federal guidance.
"Studies have shown that COVID-19 disproportionately affects people of color, and Mississippi has one of the largest populations of African Americans in the nation."
This is saying "Republicans disregard medical advice(when masks were not medical advice) and dont carr if people die. Especially black people. Republicans hate black people. And this is why they should have stayed closed like the federal government said"
The wording " at least 7" more than once is intended to create a mental imagine of a bunch of children being severely ill. It turns out it's just 7 pediatric cases of Covid with two severe cases and no existing health conditions are listed.
So they want their readers to be scared for their kids.....that's the intent. That's why they use that charged and probably dishonest wording. To instill fear. And work in that everyone HAS to get vaccinated or children will die.
It's kinda hyperbolic. But it's intended do make the readers afraid for their children, look with ire on states that opened up, and blame Republicans for any outbreaks and any deaths of black Americans.
It's actually pretty comical how hard they are sending messages to influence people politically and medically.....but also concerning with how effective this is.
