You can count on one game that the Dodgers will absolutely win. Whatever game Yamamoto pitches in. The guy is a pitching robot. He volunteered to pitch last night when they came close to running out of pitchers. Wasn't Yamamoto the name of a famous Japanese admiral? He's not un-hittable, but damn near it. Maybe they save him for a tight situation?

Fuck the Dodgers. But Canadians are Canadians, so they'll probably bend the knee like good little Subjects, but we'll see.

That's why they play the games ...

18 innings?? Wow, I could only watch until the 12th. Nice going, Dodgers.
I decided to root for the underdog; I had no actual favorite and I went to bed after 2 innings thinking that LA would win, so glad that I did.:Happy5:

The problem with rooting for the underdog is that there is usually a reason that the underdog is an underdog. lol

Here is a blast from the past for the Dodgers folks. Remember that the Dodgers used to be in Brooklyn, and were never able to get a World Series win. Until 1955 when they beat the hated Yankees. Then they left for the West coast. But while they played at Ebbets Field, they were 'dem bums'. They lived in the neighborhood. My Wife's parents lived on Bedford Avenue, walking distance from Ebbets. Her Dad worked for Schaefer Beer, a big Dodgers sponsor, and got lots of tickets to the games. The Dodgers were the heroes of Brooklyn. When they left, it was a stab in the back, that is unforgiven to this day. This film explains it all. It is hard to find as PBS won't let it go.

I watched it on Vimeo- try that. It plays but not here. Click on the link.
