Taking McGwire as and example, his biggest obstacle to breaking the single season record was staying healthy.
Take a look at his games played per year and you can see suddenly he hits 70 then 65 while playing a higher number of games. It seems the HGH helps injuries heal and kept him on the field as well as increased strength.

Nevermind I fucked up. I don't shy away from admitting my bad. I'm not much of a sports guy so I'm not up on all the info of the drama. I just heard higher ups above Rose were betting but regardless if Rose bet and betting is lifetime ban then Rose got what he deserved.

But I will argue and will always argue thus:

Kevin Spacey is a good actor.

Bill Cosby is funny as fuck.

Pete Rose rocked the fuck out of being a baseball player.

No one can take away the heart and soul anyone else poured their heart & soul into being as their craft.

At some point you grow up & realize two things can be true at once and it's okay.
