I played baseball as a kid. I loved seeing the ball moving before I heard the sound of the crack. But yeah man…watching other men is not my forte. Even the wrestling or grappling component in MMA bugs me.
I only went to one BJJ session because the instructor gave me a sweaty embrace and I wanted to vomit. He had just come out of the toilet and I could still smell the shit particles that had permeated his clothing. Very terrible affair that whole man-love shit. Eeeew.

. Condolences to our Canuck friends. It would have been a great point of national pride to have won the Series, particularly for a nation which otherwise only has hockey and curling as rooting spectator sports.
. I actually watched the bottom of the 8th and 9th inning and then knew that the Baseball Gods would not allow a Js victory (and that on the heels of that bullshit lodged ball nonsense) so I went back to watching Midsomer Murders. It was the one where it's the sanitarium director's kids who turn out to be the murderers. Anyway, knowing the outcome, I could not bear to watch the end of the game. You see, there is no more hated team in the USA than the Dodgers, so it hurt us too.
. Curse the gods for this (shaking fist in anger). Oh well - Wait till Nexyear.

They were smart enough to build a roofed stadium. Close it when it's cold, open when it's nice. Probably has HVAC too! Why couldn't the Mets and Yankees think that far ahead when they demolished their perfectly good stadiums? The first and last games I ever attended were in the 'House that Ruth built'. I am still pissed they tore it down.

I like the roofed stadiums but there been problems with some of them.
