I'd love to have a separate reality calendar. In a sense, my life is a journey to Ixtlan.
I always get a bird calendar, usually Audubon's Paintings, and a second - this year and last, mushroom paintings.

Mine arrived today...how exciting. Can't wait till New Year's Day.
. I keep my calendars thinking one day I will look through them and select a few pics to mat and frame. I have done a couple.
. One thing I looked forward to in kidship was Advent Calendars. Every day opening up a new window to see what was in there. I got them for my kid up to a point but then....her Jew mom....and that's all I have to say about it.

I gift my grandson his advent calendar every year. This year it's a Peanuts advent calendar. I'm a big fan of Peanuts and now he is too.
I usually get a botanical themed calendar. I too have some pics I plan on framing. I find calendar's and New Years a hopeful thing, even with a lot of evidence that things get tougher as time passes. A nice delusion, I suppose.
