I am guessing that this person you are mourning would not want you suffering. Grieving takes time. When my ex-husband died of cancer 3 years ago, months later I was napping on my couch. I woke up with a start feeling I couldn't breathe. I recall thinking "XXXX is dead, I will never see him again." It really took my breath away.

I won't sugar coat it, it's god awful to lose a loved one. But time, a lot of time, will need to pass. My kids were in even worse shape than I was. Forever is incomprehensible and it's like someone pulls your soul out of your body and flings it into the abyss.
