Drum solos are boring.
Rush is a good example of a technically excellent band who does not write many catchy tunes. Some people are really into their music (especially around here), but I really need a hook to get into a tune, and they just do not have many.
I prefer them as a cover band.

She's talented but I don't like her style. She's just bashing around from what I've seen. The drummer has to be in sync with the bass player to hold down the groove.
You don't know shit about drumming then. Or bass playing and how the two work for that matter. She plays everything in quintuplets and her rhythms are built around that theory. She is a master of drum theory and one of the most proficient female drummers in the business.
Yes, I'm a fan and also a drummer. I've seen her perform twice and have most of her recordings. She changed the way I think about drumming after I took a weeklong master class in NYC a few years ago.
She's going to make RUSH a superstar band again.

I know drummers and I know bass players and I see how they work together. I said that she is talented but I don't particularly like her playing style. It's nothing personal. If you like her, that's great. Go play some paradiddles, calm down and relax.
I love that drummers are called bateristas.
