If Trump is to blame for people dying of Covid, (even in far smaller numbers than first predicted) it's funny how no other leaders are being blamed. And Obama wasnt being blame for H1N1 deaths as well as THAT awful spread. The government hardly did fuck all. Because it's really not their damn job to protect our health. That's OUR job.

We didnt get a vaccine for that nearly as fast as we are getting this one, either.

States are directly responsible for making sure they have enough resources in case of an emergency like this one. And they all knew if we were hit with another pandemic they were ill prepared, and nothing was done. You cannot blame that on Trump. Hate him all you want.....but its letting those responsible entirely off the hook. Which is bad for ALL of us.

We just had a major influenza wave that was so bad some states declared a state of emergency, and many hospitals were setting up triage tents outside. They were overflowed and low of resources... this was just 2018. So why did none of these states prepare for this?

And Trump most certainly DID encourage people to wear masks. He even sells MAGA masks to his base to encourage use. He said wearing them was patriotic.

And regardless that people are arguing about how the government shouldnt be mandating it, people ARE wearing them. You hardly ever see people without them. And the case numbers rise.....and they rise in democrat states even, where you know everyone is wearing them.

It's not working. Clearly. And people are taking unessesary risks under the belief the masks will protect them.

I live in a mostly Trump supporting rural area of my state. I have yet to see anyone without a mask. People are wearing them.

Most of what you said is true except that last bit there. Around half of the people who died were in nursing homes in blue states where the Democrat governor's ordered covid positive patients to be put in rooms next to sick elderly people. You know, the highest of high risk groups. So please come back to reality on that score.

Sure, Trump is an asshat, always has been, but the outbreak continues us to be worst in big urban blue states like mine where just about everyone wears masks. Masks do help, modestly, by preventing infected people from sneezing or coughing as far. That said, a mask won't protect an uninfexted person unless it is an N95 and an N95 only lasts about 20-30 minutes tops before your breath makes it wet and thus useless.
