To be honest, handguns are a joke where I live.
Hot loaded hard cast 45-70 rounds are the go to here, for the grizz encounter.
Same with 30-06 or .308. Standard for hunting.
I live in grizz country, and have yet to deal with one...
Grizzies tend to chill high up on the mountain. =]
