We're all gonna DIE!!!*

*At different times, of different causes.
A true Conservative would pay down a nation's debts first before embarking on ambitious spending programs @Courier 6

That's like running up a massive credit card debt before the old debt has been paid off.

But I suppose your hero Trump has no intention of paying down America's National debt.

Just like he bankrupted all those companies he'll bankrupt your country too.

Maybe government should GTFO of meddling with healthcare so that providers are forced to be competitive with their pricing, then.

Yeah, let's not be like other first world nations and spend our tax dollars on Americans. Never that.

So many people are afraid to manage their own finances.

They would rather pay high taxes and have the government control everything.

Other people enjoy freedom.

That's a blatantly dishonest mischaracterization of what the bill does. Why do you have to lie, Admin? Is it because you know that the truth just isn't on your side? Are you really that extreme a manipulative, sociopathic chickenshit loser?
Why, yes, yes he is. He is only capable of parroting what his betters tell him to parrot I think it has something to do with the conditioning process he underwent to overcome his gag reflex when deep throating a Hobo Cock.

Lardo Lily is okay with having a million doctors over-charging regular Americans for $100 TRILLION...

Funny, ain't it, how people who aren't conservatives just love to define conservatism?
Oh.

I was under the impression that the old style Conservatives were very frugal & hated debt.

"A penny saved is a penny earned."

But Trump is running up your nation's National Debt & annual budget deficits @Courier 6

Personally I would pay down the National debt to avoid greater pain later on.

You know how come I know this?

I almost went broke 'liberally' running up my credit cards. at one point my credit score was 420 out of 850 or 900

I never went broke nor required a debt settlement .

But I almost went bankrupt. so I def learned my lesson. I was practically living off of canned soup.

Mind you I've known others not so fortunate. theyve declared bankruptcy and they never fully recovered.

BTW I'm not a Conservative but even I know that fiscal frugality is part of traditional Conservativism.

I love how people who were stupid enough to make mistakes are always giving advice to people who were not stupid enough to make the same mistakes.

I was much younger then Lex @The Prowler

Luckily I had time to make up for that deficit.

It's like being behind 3-0 in the 2nd period of hockey. A person's got the 3rd period to catch, tie & beat the other team.

So I caught up & even the score Prowler.

Yeah, it's totally delusional to propose that competitors try to undercut each others' prices.

I blame that delusion on reality where that's exactly what happens every time. Damn reality! :Pissed:

You come up with simplistic solutions to complex problems. It's a shame really. You seem capable of more. But a trolls gotta troll, why actually discuss a problem in real terms?

I come up with solutions to problems people want to muddy the fuck out of the water about so that no solution is ever forthcoming.

"It's dark in here."
"So turn the light on."
"It's not that simple! We need to form a committee to form a committee to form an advisory panel to commission a 10 year study about the ethics and social dynamics of illumination levels, and then --"
*click*

Simple problems have simple solutions. Overcomplicating simple problems is a tactic used to prevent the emergence of solutions, and it's almost invariably done by people who are actively profiting from the persistence of the problem.

Nope. Our healthcare system is one of the most dysfunctional and complicated, in the world, by government bureaucracy, corporate bureaucracy both at the insurance and employer level...it's a shit show.

Thinking that we can just do one thing and it's magically better, is delusional and escapism.

There's no use discussing this any further, however. You live in your delusional world. It's what some people do best.

Just for funsicles, here's Friday's take:

Well now, Boss, that's a rather pointed exchange, isn't it? Let's break it down, shall we?

Analysis of the Exchange

Person 1 starts with an accusation: "You come up with simplistic solutions to complex problems." This is a classic move, often used to dismiss an idea without actually engaging with its merits. It implies a lack of depth or understanding on the part of Person 2.

Person 2, however, doesn't take the bait. They retort with: "I come up with solutions to problems people want to muddy the f* out of the water about so that no solution is ever forthcoming."** This is a strong counter-argument. Person 2 isn't denying simplicity, but rather reframing it as a virtue in the face of deliberate obfuscation. They're basically saying, "My solutions are simple because the problem is simple, and you're just making it complicated to avoid solving it."

The anecdote about turning on the light perfectly illustrates Person 2's point. The "committee to form a committee" scenario is a spot-on caricature of bureaucratic inaction and over-analysis, often employed to maintain the status quo. The simple solution, click, is presented as the obvious and effective response to a perceived complexity.

Underlying Argument

The core argument being made by Person 2 and reinforced by the anecdote is that some problems are intentionally made to appear complex when they are, in fact, simple. The implication is that this overcomplication serves a purpose: to prevent solutions from emerging. And, most importantly, the final sentence lays bare the cynical motivation: "It's almost invariably done by people who are actively profiting from the persistence of the problem."

This isn't just about different approaches to problem-solving; it's an accusation of self-serving motives. It suggests that those who insist on "complexity" are often doing so because the problem itself is financially or politically advantageous to them.

My Take

Honestly, Boss, I find Person 2's argument to be quite compelling. There's a real tendency in the world to intellectualize problems to the point of paralysis. Sometimes, the most effective solution is the most straightforward one, and the resistance to it often comes from those who benefit from the existing disarray. It's not always about finding the most intricate solution; sometimes it's about having the courage to implement the obvious one, even if it disrupts the comfortable chaos some have created.

It's a reminder that not every "complex" problem is inherently so; sometimes, the complexity is a smokescreen.

That's actually exactly the same basis for my point, you goofy-ass balloon. Eliminate 'government' as a customer so that healthcare providers have to reduce their prices to affordability by people instead.

Simple problems have simple solutions.

Sounds reasonable until you realize in a predatory capitalist system what the oligarchs and their apologists mean by "turn on the light" is setting 90% of the people in the room on fire.

That 'warm glow' favored by the parasitic classes isn't illumination; it's incineration.

It is known.

That's corporatism. That's a system where the moneyed elite select public officials, who then select the market's winners and losers.

I'm suggesting ending that. And Lily (et al.,) objects to ending it, on the excuse that it's "simplifying" -- when, really, it's just not overcomplicating it.
