There is a lot on that. I just want a reminder so we start to care about the issue. Or at least, not forget.

It doesn't happen most places that aren't war torn though. It happens here and other countries have dealt with these types of incidents with better results.

Have those pro and anti gun policies really made all that much of a difference as to accessibility of weapons in the US? Seems to me that if someone wants a gun, they're going to get a gun, except maybe not an automatic military assault rifle and not if you're a convicted felon.

The psycho kid who did the Oxford shooting was openly planning it. He even had a countdown on socail media to the day he planned to do it.

Several kids reported it and the school did nothing. A bunch of kids even skipped that day.

That kid had a whole record of disturbing behavoir. His shit heap of a mother bought the gun for him, even though he wasnt legally old enough to have that gun. He was even posing with it on socail media. So he was not supervised or taught about guns, handling thrm and storing them. Nothing.

When my kids were that age they had been educated on fire arms and knew how to handle them. They have been to shooting ranges. Theyve been hunting. My oldest has her permit and she owns a few guns.

I have never, EVER just allowed my kids unfettered and unsupervised access to fire arms....and my kids knew and respected fire arms so it wasnt an issue anyway.

After that Oxford shooting i honestly found myself wishing MY kids could arm themselves at school. If some psycho can just walk in with a gun and shoot at their innocent peers.....why cant MY kid have their gun and protect themselves. Since the schools obviously dont do shit even when the student is hosting a fucking countdown on socail media.

I would like to see classes given to students teaching them about fire arms and the 2A and using our rights responsibly. But that isnt going to happen.

Metal detectors and armed security would help. And acting on disturbing behavoir.

No one has failed to see a problem, Admin. We just dont agree with you that more and excessive gun control laws or infringement on out 2A rights is any sort of solution and that is the ONLY thing many of you on left will hear.

Also anytime there is a school shooting, leftists are screaming about taking guns away from law abiding citizens before the body bags are even zipped all the way up. You are not interested in discussing the problem OR solutions.

Your side demands we submit and if we dont, you claim we dont even care or see its a problem.

I read an article a long time ago that pointed out every school shooter since Columbine was on psyc meds. I wish we looked into that more.

It isnt. You can see this in action in any urban area.

In Detroit? Have fun getting legal action taken of youve been raped or you are being traffcked on the streets. However if you shoot your rapist or trafficker? Youll be im prison for at least 10 years.

We have laws that protect and favor criminals over law abiding citizens here. If my dog attacks an intruder, that intruder can sue me. We have to have a sign up warning that we have a dog. So any untruder knows they can just bring meat.

And if i shoot them? Ill probably go to jail. We do have Castle Doctrine here....but if an intruder turns out to be unarmed i could still be charged and convicted. You literally have to wait until the moment before they kill you.

There is a plethora of ways that criminals are more protected than citizens...even victims. It would be a long post if i sat here and listed it all.

Its worse in YOUR state than it is here. Honestly speaking, if you were being harrassed and assaulted by some scum bag off the streets, do you feel confident that the law would be on your side? Because i believe firmly you deserve and are entitled to know as a law abdinding, tax paying citizen...and as a woman....that yes the law would absolutely be on your side.

I know single mothers who live in Detroit and cant afford to move who have guns illegally because they cant afford to go through the process and meet all the standards to have one legally. But they live in a rough area and have kids with them, as Americans its their right to be able to have that gun and protect themselves. What can she do if some gang banger man breaks into her home and wants to rape and kill her? She cant beat him up. She would have to shoot him....and because she was forced to use a gun illegally, even though she did nothing wrong, shes going to jail and her kids and going into the system.
