I don't work hard to create content for the regular boards for two reasons:
A significant percentage of the members are here to see fights, it's like a schoolyard for them. So, they don't post on other boards because they don't find it interesting. They don't come up with content because their only interest is fighting. I don't see putting work into making something interesting for an uninterested audience.
Second, and related topic, there is no one actively stopping those shitheads from gumming up other forums. Some posters will shit wherever they feel like it. They don't care what the subject matter is...it discourages content being created when all people do is drop turds in the punchbowl.
That remains unaddressed. I don't think the SB is the actual issue in either helping or hurting the forum. There is still the 1 million post thread. It's there with no restrictions.
The juvenile behavior isn't contained in Meltdown. That's the problem, imo.
