And if you really look hard, you will find that the American economy ALWAYS goes into a slight recession combined with inflation, after ending a war. WW2, Korea, 'Nam, Gulf, OIF,. It is the stopping of a wartime economy and the return of soldiers that need jobs. Afghanistan lasted 20 years and just ended. Add Covid and what do you get? A fucked up economy and inflation. I don't think a whole lot will change, at least for me. I live in a suburban area of the rust belt, hundreds of miles away from DC and from the nearest Metropolitan area. The elections that affect me the most are local.
