Doubtful, it's a narrative from some website that Little Hitler regards as superior to actual news.

Yeah. I was quite certain it was nothing verifiable.
It's hard to believe that after six or eight years of debunking the righty myth of Soros the Boogeyman, some people still recite it like it was a "Holy Mary Mother of God" bead on a RIGHTIE ROSARY.

Those are people who get the totality of their news from places like Newsmax, Fox, The Blaze, etc.
I regularly read the Atlantic, actually. I watch Tucker most mornings to set myself up for the day. Other than that Mr. Gutfeld is the only one I enjoy on tv. Hannity is a hack and showed his cowardice on January 6.

I used to read the nytimes but the decline in journalistic standards and the concomitant rise in the aggressiveness of their paywall has made that unrewarding. A shame really.

I used to like slate as well, but they have become obsessed with homosexuality and abortion and crying about the Supreme Court.

But yeah, the Atlantic is good, especially for foreign affairs...

The Economist is also worth having access to.

Right, I should have mentioned that I don't have a subscription but my boss does. I get the previous issue when the new one shows up.

Mike never believed he had the constitutional authority to halt the certification process

I don't believe he had it either.

Unless someone can point me to where, with constitutional authority, a vice president suddenly becomes more empowered than both a sitting and to-be president and can circumvent the will congress?

nah, I never bought that and Trump lost points with me for throwing him under a bus. Not to say I wouldn't vote for Trump again or that he isn't one of the best president's in history but he really showed his ass when betrayed such a loyalist like that.

If I could feel comfortable with the replacement here in florida I'd go with Ron Desantis over Trump any day of the week

You'd have to point me to the exact section of the constitution that gives a VP that kind of over arching power for me to board that train bro.

I don't see it. With something like that in effect I see a clear path to tyranny which is exactly what the founding fathers were looking to avoid

I agree the election was rigged -- as any mentally competent and sane person can see for themselves -- but that still doesn't hand the authority to the sitting VP to up end the results. That's for the courts to handle

In my mind Pence is no different than Justice Roberts

now some may say he's a turncoat who sides with liberals too often. I say he votes in what he truly believes and it is the fact that he breaks party lines from time to time that demonstrates we conservatives are better than these liberal pigs by a country mile. Because NO matter the circumstance you will never see one of the 3 scumbag leftist hacks in the supreme court vote against their party narrative

and that alone tells me which side is the righteous one

I knew it had to do something with the legislatures, but I found this, by a Constitutional Lawyer......

Under Art. II, Section 1 of the Constitution, each state, as its legislature “may direct,” will “appoint” its electors. Because the six disputed states (Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin) ran entirely fraudulent elections, and because their legislatures did not dictate fraudulent elections, there is nothing to certify, Raiklin said.

Because the six state legislatures did not authorize fraud as a basis for selecting electors, Raiklin contends, those states could not and did not validly certify their electors on Dec. 14.

Also, if you remember, none of the courts wanted to hear about any election fraud.

I remember Roberts saying "there was no riots then!" , when discussing Bush vs Gore. He didnt wanna hear any election fraud cases either.

This is all contingent on "fraud" which is a crime that has to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. By Jan 6th fraud had not been proven beyond reasonable doubt. Sure we all know it happened, just like we all know OJ killed Nicole, but it has to run through our due process. By Jan 6th that had not occurred and therefore, more than likely, made Pence feel like he would be acting unilaterally if he upended the results based on highly credible suspicion

... I agree.

Thats about right.

No court wanted to take a fraud case. Time ran out, so Pence acted accordingly.

I still aint forgetting the Judas coin and blue tie though hahaha.

I believe history will look favorably upon Pence

Sure, the nation suffered as a result of the fraud and that is what I believe Trump was worried about since he's an operational thinker but Pence knew the preservation of the process itself was more important since he's more of a morality type thinker.

Dark money didn't spend billions rigging this election only to do so in a way that could be easily proven in a court of law. We was fucked either way once they were allowed to change the rules of the game
