Did farmers use the chemicals we use today ? Or are they looking for more, faster crops … the importation of cheap garbage like the produce we get here in Canada from Brazil picked 3 weeks early … farmers don’t make money, never did it’s a lifestyle get out if you don’t like it

I don't think the same can be said about city people.

Anyway, you'll get your wish, this thing in Europe will probably spread and pretty soon, having plenty of food will be a luxury affordable by not many.

I have to say, I've learned a lot and have new respect for farmers since I've been training to be a master gardener in my state.

Insects and other arthropods are the most common animal on the planet. In order to produce enough food to feed 8 billion people, sometimes insecticides are a necessary evil. One way to get away from that is home gardeners can be taught not to use insecticides in their own gardens. They can grow their own organic fruits and veggies...urban gardening is a real thing.

They are clearly trying to make a living. It's about their survival.

What I ask if someone bad mouths farmers is "Do you grow your own food?".

This is the same game, Cultural Communists fucking with farmers for some abstract goal. I know how this plays out so i'm 100% on their side(The Farmers).
