Unless your laptop is worth a considerable amount to you, I'd probably just buy a new one. Electronic devices like that are pretty much considered disposable once they start falling apart.

It's completely fine otherwise. I don't believe in throwing things like that away. What a total waste of resources.

Some "Gorilla Glue" or local equal, place pieces back in place by hand as best you can, shore the broken bits up as best you can, glue it, let it set till the glue sets up....but do go see if you have some local fix it guy in your hood....some handyman should be able to figure out a fix(old guys rock at this shit)....preferably a computer guy, but not required...maybe a plastic airplane model guy...

Yeah, I need to find a fix it guy. The pieces are not separated, just cracked, which makes the hinge not work properly when you open/close. But no way for me to actually glue anything, you know what I mean? Still all in one piece. I'd have to take it apart. The trick is to find such a guy.

There's probably a video on youtube that teaches you how to deal with that

I suggest sticking to your electronics and learning simple repairs, in a few years these things will start disappearing from the stores or at least becoming a lot more expensive.

Perhaps you can look on a computer parts store online for your model and buy the parts you need to replace it .. I did a quick search (for replacing screens on laptops) and there appears to be a lot of tutorial videos for this type of thing.. Just a suggestion :)

Good idea. Thanks. I have fixed computers using tutorial vids before.

I can usually fix anything by just following instructions. But, there are cases where certain tools and previous experience would be worth paying for.
