I miss my childhood…

I miss summer days on the river fishing with my dad and brothers.

I miss swimming for so long that you’re starving when the sammiches from the cooler come out and that first swig of a delicious ice cold coke hits.

I miss playing over the line with a tennis ball and tennis racket instead of a bat and watching the fielders scramble with every blasted ball hit to the outfield.

I miss the half pipe that was in our yard and all of our friends coming over with their skateboards to ride it.

I miss ridding my beach cruiser down the bike path with my longboard under my arm to meet my friends down at the beach.

I miss rowing crew on Saturday mornings before a double header tournament.

I miss my grandpa and his love for his grandkids. I remember being a kid and his "interviewing" us. Asking questions and recording our answers. He was a wonderful grandfather.
