It was cheap, disrespectful and totally the wrong time and place to try such a game. And he probably only did it because he knows most of those media cameras are operated by people who all hate Trump.

So stop acting like everything is Trump's fault and Zelensky is some kind of heroic statesman. It makes you look foolish.

He was offering Zelensky a path to peace and security for his nation (with us getting something back for all we've given, of course), but Zelensky seemed to think that the US will continue to fund his war forever.

It was indeed an historic moment that will be talked about for years. I watched it live on my office tv. And while I do not absolve Trump and Vance of perhaps a bit of overreaction, the onus of the debacle falls squarely on the shoulders the Ukrainian for failing to read the room, for his disrespect and slovenly appearance and his cheap attempt to play for the cameras.

Had he not done that, there would have been no reason for Trump and Vance to over react a bit.
