I spoke to her husband yesterday and asked if there was a public ceremony or funeral to be announced, and he was frankly not sure. It's up in the air at this point.

She was older, as he is (he is a bit older tham her), and he expressed the sadness of watching so many their friends and family members already passing on, and who would attend a funeral or ceremony? ...as he put it. It might be a small private gathering with ashes spread someplace in nature. I dunno.

I wanted to send a really cool floral arrangement or 20 unordered pizzas...
:pardon:

(She mostly hid her forum life from her real life people. 20 pizzas would be received in astonishment and wouldn't convey the love or the cheek behind it)

But he obviously doesn't want a circus event or the odd arsehole going full internet keyboard arsehole because Caskur tore into somebody once upon a time for shits and giggles squirting through her gap teeth like a waterlogged bath toy being frog stomped by a sharehouse tenant with a pressing bowel movement during shower time.... (sorry, old habits die hard....
:yeahhh:
)

He is very touched by the sentiments expressed and relayed to him over the phone. I've texted thread links so he can read for himself.

When pressed if there's a charity she really liked, he mentioned Fred Hollows

Fred restored eyesight to people, often children, where he could. I remember Caskur talking about Fred on multiple occasions. She really admired him. No bullshit... which is really a good picture of who Caskur truly was. Fred Hollows got his start restoring sight for outback aboriginal children... he was like a Mother Theresa in a small plane... yet Caskur had her reservations about aboriginals due to her experiences with some... particularly the ones who performed criminal acts against her property... but she loved all children, MOST animals, and anything in nature that could be drawn, painted, or especially photographed.

Her husband doesn't need anything from any of us online degenerates. He is just happy people cared about her more than he realized.

If you want to do something for Caskur, perhaps elaborate on your best memories of her here and/or make a donation to Fred Hollows org or something else you think she'd really like.

I'll post this url to her hubby so he can read it and if he wants to respond, I will try to relay it exactly as he means/meant it.
