What if every electrical appliance on earth magically functioned one day without being plugged into a connection, but only those on 12v or 24v DC systems, not mains power?

Something unknown or unexplainable to mankind happens... what would you do? How would you cope or navigate the new world?
 
First:
I'd unplug all applicable devices.

Second and Third (can be done simultaneously):
I'd continue using them as usual.

I'd try my best to determine if we're being bombarded with harmful radiation of some kind and take steps (Faraday cages, etc.) if it seemed advisable even if it meant losing the "free" functionality of the machines.

Everything from there just depends on whatever happens next.

Interesting

I'd get myself and anything still working into a shielded area... either underground or steel shed with all seams metal taped and ventilation ESD meshes if I had to...then wait and see.

Low volt anything is moving in reverse. Unless we’re talking door bells, fire alarm systems, intercom systems. Moving up to a 277/480V 3 phase system would be a better and more efficient way to go. More push means less current flow. A typical house would require a 50A electrical service.
