women can have the baldness gene on both XX ( recessive genes on the sex chromosomes must be homozygous to be expressed in women)....... in that case it’s expressed
However since it’s sex influenced/ not sex linked it requires testosterone for expression

While all women produce some testosterone.......lack of the Y chromosome prevents excessive production........hence.....thin hair not bald women.
