(When) Will Elon Musk become a liability for the Trump Administration?

He may look good now because he's advancing Trump's political interests.

But when will his excesses and transgressions begin to be a hindrance to Trump's agenda?

If many Americans aren't sick of him already, what happens if even the MAGA/Republican base turns on him?

ie - when their benefits get slashed to the DOGE budget cuts and they start to feel the pain?

Or a recession hits?

Suddenly it's no longer hurting them illegals or them darkies but them.

And if this happens, what happens if Trump wants to get rid of Elon?

Can he? Or is Trump stuck with him?

In the event that their relationship sours, what if Elon doesn't wanna go?

It doesn't seem like Trump can throw him under the bus as easily as Vivek Ramaswathy since Musk has been an anchor of his administration.

Anyways, it's just some thoughts. But the very person who got Trump elected might soon become a liability.

Musk is working for himself.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is "dumb".
Actually one other interesting development is how Tesla car sales are tanking, but perhaps Elon doesn't care, because his real motive is to get funding for his Space program.

That's where the big money will come for him.

Space exploration. Mining the moon/Mars or asteroids for minerals.

This is the Big Picture in the Scheme of things

Tesla motors seems like a sideshow for Elon's bigger interests.

Perhaps he doesn't care if Tesla cars tanks if he gets billions from something more prestigious elsewhere.

Other thing is how Elon declares that America's finances are in deplorable shape, but then gets Trump to cut him a huge cheque for this Stargate projects.

Meanwhile, Elon no doubt will get vast subsidies from the Trump administration for his Space program while the USA's finances go in the shitter. And it will because Trump and the wealthy want avoid paying taxes. And of course the ones who'll be paying for Elon's ventures are the average American taxpayer who'll be under the strain of America's National debt.

Of course, Trump, Elon & all the other Oligarch billionaires don't care because they'll get richer as the rest of America gets poorer (especially their working class MAGA supporters).

In the end the American taxpayer carries the debt burden to subsidize the new Oligarch Class in the USA.

Of course USSF will benefit from technology shared by SpaceX.

You losers can bitch and moan all you want. You will not slow the progress of the MAGA Movement.

But it will come at a Big cost tho Lex @The Prowler.

Just like NASA before it was a big drain on taxpayer's pocketbooks.

Yes, it costs a lot to put a man and rockets into space.

Billions. And or course the ones who end up paying for it is the Middle/Working class American taxpayer.

I suspect if the US National debt right now is $36 trillion. It'll be $45-50 trillion by the time Trump's term ends in 4 years.

It's evident the Trump, Elon & the Billionaire Oligarchs don't care if America's finances go tits up @jack

In fact, they probably think or aware that a huge financial crisis may be coming such as a currency reset.

But the American Elites are prepared for it, so they'll rob your treasury as much as they can while the ship sinks.

That's their end game, get as much for themselves if everything goes south

The same shit that happened during the 2008 financial crisis when W Bush was in power.

Line their pockets on the way out as they run for the exits.

Weapons, Senile @Joe.

Weapons.

This is mainly about military superiority.
Money is no object for Trump & Elon, Lex @The Prowler.

Let's see...$500 billion for Stargate, billions more for deportations, Billions more to invade or establish an increased military presence that Trump wants to take over - Gaza, greenland, Canada, Panama. and so on .

Where's the money gonna come from?

Oh right, get out the money printer which will lead to inflation Inflation and still more inflation.

do the same thing, but only worse than what Biden was accused of.

And of course trump doesn't wanna pay income taxes, so that'll put America into debt even further.

Yeah I can see where this all leading.

Insolvency. Bankruptcy. Just like how Trump drove his own companies/enterprises inta the ground.

Musk is working for himself.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is "dumb".
Obviously…..he and his band of teenage mutant ninja morons - said it before I’ll say it again - Musk "isn't interested in efficiency, he's only interested in enriching himself," and he will be able to use DOGE to direct resources—including more federal contracts—toward his companies and weaponize the government to undermine competitors. Elon Musk spent over $280 million to elect Donold tRump, and tRump has handed him the keys to the federal government. Together, they’re abusing their power to access sensitive personal information about Americans and to further enrich and empower the ultra-wealthy at the expense of the rest of us.  We should also consider the fact that there is no evidence that the U.S. Treasury Department has not specifically vetted Elon Musk or his business operations in China for potential conflicts of interest before granting him access to the Fiscal Service’s payment systems or any other Treasury databases.

Meanwhile tRump is so senile he can’t remember Musks name, he spends his time signing executive orders he doesn’t understand the impact of, then back pedaling when he its explained to him what he’s done….focusing on getting rid of Pennie’s & paper straws while the American people watch prices on everything from groceries to automobiles skyrocketing -

this is only the beginning people strap on your seatbelts, it’s going to be a heinous four years :OhGawd:

The courts have currently put everything on hold. Many MAGATS are saying "well he'll just ignore the rulings and do what he wants".

He may not like the response to that or the results.

Maybe this will wake up the redneck MAGA morons…..when their welfare checks can’t cover basic necessities and welfare ends up on the elite chopping block…..

I‘m assuming any educated idiot who voted for tRump is beginning to regret it now, if not they will, unless of course they are members of the 1%

Everything is currently tied up in court. If they continue to ignore the fed rulings it's an easy step to criminal contempt and a visit from the US Marshals, which owe no allegiance to anyone but the Constitution.

There's a reason EO's by a president are able to be challenged in court. The "rule of law" is real.

Just weeks in, the Trump administration was already violating rules, laws, and the Constitution.

It’s an anticonstitutional lawbreaking spree. Will that matter?

Members of Congress from both parties should be shouting objections. Trump’s fellow Republicans, so far, have utterly abdicated.

Federal courts have a duty to step up.

Even this highly political Supreme Court should rule against Trump on some things — but these justices have repeatedly proven highly deferential to presidential power.

The Supreme Court granted presidents broad protections from criminal prosecution for “official acts” they undertake while in office. This ruling from the Court’s conservative supermajority pulls a new constitutional rule from thin air and allows tRump to disguise virtually anything as an “official act”.

Federal courts are stepping up. Birthright Citiizenship will stay, as it would take longer than his term to implement. Constotutional Amendment and all that rule of law bullshit.

Musk had the keys to the Treasury taken away, and won't get them back. If he gets near the Treasury while it's in court, he'll be arrested.

The illegal ICE raids will also stop, although arresting undocumented immigrants is "legal" shipping them by plane over other countries sovereign airspace is not. That one is already out of control.

32 of his EO's are currently tied up in federal court.

none of the acts currently in court have anything to do with that ruling. The eo's have to follow congessional procedure to be "official acts" So far, he is not doing that. He is violating congressional norms. Whether they care or not is a moot point...that's how the law works.

Musk poured more than $20 million into a mysterious super PAC at the end of the 2024 campaign, part of more than $250 million he spent overall to boost President-elect tRump . He’s got that senile fool in his back pocket right now.

tRump is above the law….or at least he behaves like that. Look at everything he’s gotten away with to date.
Do you really think the “law” is going to stop him or change anything?

I’ll believe that when I see it actually happening.

He's always been that way. he thought installing like minded judges (like he did at the SC) would shift everything in his favor.

Why do you think there's this "media chatter" about them flaunting what the Judiciary rules?

All about optics. when push comes to shove, Musk is going to be the odd man out, not the "hero"
