Surprise. Michael Leavitt, brother of Karoline, is seeking full custody of his son, age 11. Michael Leavitt Jr. desperately misses his mother Bruna Caroline Ferreira who is now locked up in a Louisiana jail. Bruna has lived in the US almost all of her life and came here from Brazil as a child. She is now wrongly labeled a “criminal illegal alien” by ICE in order to rapidly detain and deport her. Bruna and Michael Leavitt were engaged and living in New Hampshire when their son was born but have since split. Michael filed for legal custody of his son and suddenly, Bruna disappeared. How convenient.
Per her attorney: “Bruna has no criminal record whatsoever. I don't know where that is coming from. Show us the proof! There are no charges out there. She's not a criminal, illegal alien, we're hearing that said about anyone who's not a US citizen," Pomerleau claimed.
Bruna should be protected under DACA status. Her sister set up a GoFundMe to cover legal fees. $19K of the $30k ask has been raised so far. This is wrong, another abuse of power—the white elites with wealth, taking a child away from his mother. Believe me, one day, that little boy will see the truth In the meantime, these heartless bastards break up families like this repeatedly—now hundreds a day.
