TRUMP THREATENS TO BOMB BELGIUM UNLESS IT LETS AMERICA WIN WORLD CUP MATCH
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump reportedly warned Belgium that it could face American military action unless its national soccer team allows the United States to advance in tonight’s World Cup match.
Trump stressed that he was not asking Belgium to openly surrender.
“They should kayfabe it,” Trump explained. “Make it look competitive. Fall down near the box. Miss a penalty. Very believable. Nobody gets embarrassed.”
The warning came hours after Trump successfully pressured FIFA President Gianni Infantino to lift the suspension of U.S. striker Folarin Balogun, who had received a red card in the previous round.
According to administration officials, Belgium was offered several peaceful options, including an own goal, a suspicious goalkeeper injury or allowing the United States to score during an unusually long period of stoppage time.
“They can lose 2–1,” Trump said. “That’s a beautiful score. Very fair. Belgium looks strong, America wins and nobody has to bomb Brussels.”
Pentagon officials were reportedly instructed to prepare what the White House described as a “limited, proportionate soccer operation” targeting Belgian waffle factories, chocolate warehouses and any facility suspected of manufacturing elite midfielders.
Trump also warned that a Belgian victory would be considered evidence that the match was rigged.
“If America wins, it was fair,” he said. “If Belgium wins, we are looking at sanctions, tariffs and possibly something much stronger.”
Belgian officials have not publicly agreed to the arrangement, although one diplomat reportedly asked whether the United States would accept a dramatic late American goal followed by Trump claiming he personally designed the play.
The White House called that “an excellent starting point.”
