There's math?
I didn't know, I didn't read Hollidaze's post.
Did I use too many big werdz and numbers. LoL
. Read it and answer the questions.
You are a great supporter of his ideas. Show us how they work.
I'll even present a few questions again:
So break it down for us, Corpulita.
. Give us an analysis of how Mammy is going to make the things he promised will be free, free.
Start with his proposed tax hikes, which he can not make happen unilaterally, and the projected increased revenue of which will be 4-5 billion. Then subtract the amount riders on NYC bus lines contribute in fares - 2.6 billion (last year, not of course accounting for inflation or increased ridership when it's FREE, and consequent cost of extra maintenance and busses and service/workers etc - because sorry to tell yallz this is not a static equation). Then tell us how much the free childcare etc will cost, and how many more people will seek to claim it now that it's FREE.
Now this isn't about whether the ideas are nice or wouldn't that be helpful if. It's a matter of whether it's doable.
...and remember the fact is that people can move from NYC, even just up (from the boroughs) or across the river and deplete those increased tax revenues. ...and/or their accountants can get creative. Remember that the governor is dead set against raising taxes and she is up for election next year.
. Nice ideas and good intentions often pave the road to Hell.
