There are many misconceptions about the sport of boxing.

One very common misconception is that the length of rounds of a fight stated in the rules are actually 30 seconds less that the actual length of the rounds of the fight.

For example, many people think that when a fight has 2 minute rounds, the fighters actually fight for "more like 2 and a half mins each"...

Remember it say 8 2min rounds for the main but since it's not saved by the bell the rounds are more like 2 and a half mins each

It might sound weird to some of you, but ever since they started having rounds with time limits in boxing, the time limit that was agreed upon and is stated in the rules for the fight.....is actually the time limit for each round!!!



I know! Weird that they do not add 30 seconds to the time!!!

I mean, if you want to have 2 minutes rounds, why not just say that the rounds are 1 and a half minutes long, and then add 30 seconds to each round to make it 2 minutes?!??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!!?
