I was stationed on the Iron Curtain in Germany. I have relatives in former Warsaw Pact countries. Those people will die a thousand deaths before they capitulate to Russia. Why do you think this has gone on for so long? Ukraine is fighting for it's life. Russian and Korean soldiers are there because an evil asshat forced them to be there. They have no dog in this fight and it shows. Who do you think has more staying power? As long as the draft dodger asshole doesn't sell them out, Ukraine will prevail.

Who wouldn't? The Taliban fought Russia to a standstill. We though that was great fun so we armed the Taliban. Later they used our own weapons against us. The only reason Russia gave up on Afghanistan is because the mothers of dead soldiers marched on the Kremlin. WTF are our sons dying for?!? The same is going on now. Many young men fled, knowing that involuntary service was coming. Mothers are marching in the streets. Lots will get arrested, but you can't arrest an entire country. Forget Russian propaganda. They are on the balls of their ass. This is like Vietnam in many ways. It is extremely hard to occupy someone else's country. They will fight you with everything they have and then some. You will pour men and treasure into an unwinnable conflict that YOU started. Once you figure out that you made a HUGE fucking mistake, you look for a way out that doesn't make you look like the asshat that you are. 'Saving face' as they say. The only problem is that Russia has nukes. And you don't want to push a crazy fuck like Putin too far. WTF does he care if he starts WWIII? Give Biden credit. He and NATO armed Ukraine, without any boots on the ground to trigger Putin. Or risk our good men. The Ukrainians are fighting the good fight. And showing the World what a joke the Russian army is.
