I notice that a lot of people I know are getting cancer.

A close friend of mine.

A close relative.

Someone I sit on The Board of a not-profit-with.

The good news is that all these people have fought cancer and are doing well.

But, I was out with some umpire friends of mine this past week (Wednesday....had beer and awesome chicken wings...I totally forgot to tell people here....), and one of them told me that an umpire we know died in December from cancer. He was in his mid-60's and was in really great shape, and was diagnosed with cancer in the late summer/early fall.

I lost all trust and hope of government, people and medicine/ health care.

I absolutely trust no one.

I will never forget how they pressured us in this time. Lockdowns etc.

Had both shots, two boosters. (all Moderna) Still wear a mask (kN95) in crowds or tight inside spaces.

Haven't had so much as a sniffle since 2019. Exposed several times by people who were sick. I also get a flu shot every season, have had the 2 shot shingles vax and the 2 shot pneumonia series.

Never got covid.

Free will or because of the pressure? Where do you stand on this whole thing after 5 years?

I am the same sadly. 2 shots plus 1 booster. Tbh I never had anything. Thank god.

Today someone must shoot my head if I inject anything again.

I don't know where the C came from (I don't buy the Chinese bat thing) and where it is today?

Read a lot on X.

For me it is like the "climate change". You can't prove it or deny it.

I read that many died, heart attack ,and turbo cancer.

I hated the media pressure! It is about health which was now publ8c for anyone. "Are you vaxxed? " yiu can't go shopping, travel, you must stay at home.

I remember in the city that someone was fined for smoking !!! 3 police officers came and fined the dude for not wearing a mask and smoking.

A sad era in humanity in my opinion.

I was familiar with the mRNA research the year before the pandemic after the Toronto SARS event so I was OK with that as a method of being vaccinated.

My decision to get vaxxed was free will. I was laid off from my job on the 13th of March 2020 and basically was in isolation during lockdown, about a year. It was horrible. I was pretty scared being around anyone. The first vax was available that November and I was relieved to get the first shot. No real side effects except I just got very tired for about a week and lethargic. Very sore at the site injection with some swelling and bruising, because the nurse had no idea what she was doing. After the tiredness wore off everything was normal. No side effects on the 2nd shot at all.

I feel we were part of a very large, relatively uncontrolled experiment but I was willing to be a subject because at the time Covid was deadly, especially for my demographic. I also masked, did social distances and stayed away from indoor crowds.

5 years later I'm grateful for the decisions I made. I'm healthy and strong and seem to be immune to the respiratory viruses now.

I'm glad you never got Covid, those that did even currently say it's different than any flu they ever had.

Very interesting take! And honest and I can totally rely on that.

I can imagine that being isolated and the job lay off, was not good for you.

I am an introverted person, so I welcomed the lock downs. I ordered a lot of food and stuff from Amazon. It was a "quiet" and peaceful time. No more young people going crazy in the cities. Most people behave. It was something new.

Me personally, I wasn't scared at all. I believe that our dying day Is already there. If I die, I die. Simple. I hate being a mass sheep and act like them. I always watched what are my options.

I was like you. Sticked to the rules, no more handshaking, taking the vax and being calm.

I guess to, that it was a an experiment. But I can't prove it. It is just a gut feeling.

Sometimes I wonder if these elites really got vaxxed like us regular people.

I have hate towards elites and science people with PHD and degrees. Because I saw how people act, in a SHTF situation. Many lies, flipfloping and avoiding certain questions.

Excuse my many droppings of topics in this case.

Have you seen Zuckerbergs interview with Joe Roegan??

I used to drink Corona pre Covid. Now it is Belgium beer for me.

May I ask. Why did you lost your friends?

I got sick in 2023 twice from covid. I stopped masking and isolating. It had been going on for so long...I felt safer.

It was relatively mild both times. And that's why I'm glad I vaxxed.

Corona is also fantastic, can't beat corona and a lime on a hot day while doing yardwork or at a Barbecue.

Most of my friends have died because of drug overdoses or suicide. I have also had a couple friends day from things like cancer and getting shot.

Never had covid (I don't think), or have done and never noticed, considering it's basically just the flu and I've had that a few times over the last few years...

I wouldn't take the clotshot for all the tea in China, as my nan used to say.

Damn, that's terrible. Suicide and drugs because of corona and its consequences? That sucks man. That is shit. I would start thinking why all the time. Until I have a solution, which is hard in that case, Fantom.

Me too. I am pretty sure I never had it. Sure, one or 2 times I felt dizzy for 2 or 3 days. Took a test and it was negative. I was lucky I guess.

Kudos for not taking the shot.

But also here. Back kn the day I was happy, feeling secure.

Today, despite I can't prove it, I wouldn't take it.

It was thr only topic for straight 2 years or even 3.

I never forget when a cashier yelled at me:" hey! Take a cart from outside!!! It is not allowed to shop without!!!"

I had to wear a mask, shop with a cart and there was even a huge line with security outside to get in. It was a hard time. I hated all back then.

I got sick in 2023 twice from covid.

After getting vaxxed. (Hint Hint)

I did not get sick in 2023 after NOT getting vaxxed.

I did not wear a mask except the few times I had to when they were required in public places.

I did not stay in a "bubble" and I did what I could do with whomever was willing to ignore the shutdown laws.

Hockey was cancelled and baseball was cancelled, so I started jogging and exercising in other ways.

I took exactly zero tests for Covid, so I do not know if I ever had it. When I was required to test, I lied and said that I tested negative.
