It's Russia/USSR that has a history of invading other countries, e.g., Poland, in concert with Germany. Let's not forget most Eastern European countries.

NATO was formed because of what Russia, before Germany turned on them, and Germany did, not the other way around.

Do people not remember history?

Before NATO, The European powers were at war a whole lot of the time, with NATO Europe has seen the longest stretch of peaceful cooperation perhaps in History. We had to go over against our will in WW1 and WW2 we were tired of having to constantly separate "our parents"

Russia recognized Ukrainian territorial integrity in 93/94 in exchange for the Russians taking control of Ukrainian nukes.
