But you don't, though. Almost no one does. You inevitably and often immediately fall back to complaining that I'm not smart/aware/moral enough to adopt your point of view and after that there's no "debate" to be had; only name-calling and derision.

Don't get me wrong: name-calling and derision can be fun but in the realm of sociopolitical issues they're counterproductive and a monumental waste of time/energy. I'd rather not.

It was never a matter of you confusing your point of view with mine, or the disquiet and quiet that your point of view inevitably has to pursue, via the true mainstream you are swept up in.

I am not name calling, just naming the obvious. Garretty 47 was wrong. And it ended in dictatorship in the second most powerful country on the planet.

I think that some people here do that when they realize that they have lost the argument. This happened a few weeks ago when I explained some statistics to @Lily that she was not understanding fully.

With Blandy, I think he might not realize that he lost the argument. I think he is so brain-damaged that he cannot follow a line of reasoning. I know it seems that I am slipping into his sort of name-calling, but I am dead serious. His mind is mush from years of excessive drug use.
