The USA is actually the wealthiest nation on the planet & countries with comparable per capita incomes like Switzerland/Norway can afford to give their citizens $20/hr minimum wage, low cost education & healthcare. and those 2 countries have lower debt to gdp ratios & better credit ratings than the United States.
They call Mamdani a Socialist but Trump is far worse. He doesn't even play by the rules of capitalism. and you know why? because he went broke every single time he tried. That's why he scams the system so much.

Yes, it really was a wonderful town into the 90s although even then the transformation was alarming.
. It will be with sadness those good days will be remembered though. Such a shame what has happened there.
