Gimme questions...

I rarely see a regular pick up anymore. On the other hand, this is Gary thread. Let’s let him answer
Mostly only as a work truck, the last "popular' regular cab I recall several years ago Dodge had a Ram hotrod truck with their v10 and a bunch of performance graphics and garnish etc I don't recall offhand what they called it.

eta, The SRT10 was their hotrod pickup in the 2000s, apparently have a newer hotrod coming out the "Rumble Bee" or something

What is "Something you slap some decals on and sell to idiots for $20k more than the base model."

... for $600, Alex.

Are we still asking questions in this thread? Should I buy a pickup truck? I'd rather have an SUV but there will probably be times in the near future when I might need to haul something. Friends of mine have trucks but I don't know if I should rely on them.

What sort of stuff do you expect to be hauling?
Some Jeeps have a bit of a bed on 'em that would suffice for small stuff and you wouldn't have to be known as someone who drives a pickup truck.

Around here at least pickup drivers are some of the most incompetent sumbitches on the road... half of them can't even park worth a damn.

I was thinking smaller Pickups. Like a Tacoma, and yes the beds are smaller.
The tacoma has a bitching mod.

Furniture type stuff and maybe yard waste and junk, depending on what I get myself into. One of my step nephews has a Jeep Gladiator and he likes it. There's enough room in the bed for tools and equipment with plenty of passenger room when he's out with friends. We have a lot of Jeep people around here with lots of accessories and those stupid ducks on their dashboards and giving each other "the wave." Jeep Wranglers are cool vehicles for the suburbanites.

* and yes, some pickup truck drivers think their big truck gives them the right to be rude and ignernt.

As we all know Pick up trucks are very popular, and yes some guys driving pickups are jerks, but the majority are not. the domestics are mostly out of the sedan business except for a few "specialty" cars, it's various sizes of SUVs and pickups these days...except for some "Foreign" brands still doing coupes and sedans.
