OK, I am going to guess you don't know a lot about geology and that you are not a geologist like I am. The entire eastern and northern fringes of San Francisco used to be a coastal marsh but in the 19th century, in order to reclaim land and to create deeper water moorings for ships, they filled those swampy marshes in using a combination of literally dumping garbage and waste into the marshes as well as "hydrologic fill" which means they dredged mud up from deeper in the bay and sprayed the slurry of mud and water into the marshes filling them up and slowly turning them I to dry land. Those units are collectively know as "bay fill" and they are both man made and poorly consolidated.
They are highly vulnerable to liquefaction in earthquakes and are a pretty terrible material to build on top of. Now, I don't know the specifics of that particular tower, other than 2-3 articles I have read in the popular media, but I can think of several possibilities as to why it would be sinking and most involve corner cutting or miscalcations wrt the number of foundation pylons, their sizes, and how deep they should go before determining they have reached "firm competitent ground". Setting those foundations up correctly is key but also extremely expensive to do right while developers often want to save money and argue cheaper methods would suffice. It gets even more complicated when local politicians (who often have their own agendas ranging from desire to be seen as delivering on big projects to outright corruption) get involved and start granting code variance permission. I can tell you some good stories about that sort of stuff.

They do. In fact chicken wings used to be a throw away part and that is why things like Buffalo chicken wings (spicy fried or baked wings) were invented and bars would give them away for free if you bought a drink. The US also used to give away excess wings which the government bought from meat packers as a form of subsidy away as food aid to foreign countries because no one wanted to buy them. After the fall of the USSR they were called "Bush wings" in the Eastern block as the 1st President Bush delivered massive numbers of tons of frozen chicken wings no one wanted to former communist countries as food aid to avoid starvation.
The big change came in the very late 1990's when China's vast consumer markets started finally buying chicken wings from the US as cheap protein for China's vast poor population. Now they love them and demand is outstripping supply even before covid causing prices to rise dramatically. Now, there are labor shortages in the meat packing industry so companies are making the decision to concentrate and higher value more expensive cuts of chicken meat. That means a lot of unprocessed frozen chicken wings are piling up in freezers waiting for enough workers to be able to process them.

Yeah, we usually get frozen wings when we order them but fresh wings are scarce. We might get a couple or so cases of value pack wings over the course of a week. We usually get small pack wings and party wings when we order them but they are occasionally out of stock. And if we order extra small packs to compensate for the lack of value packs, they prorate the order so there’s enough to go around to all the stores. I was actually shocked - one day last weekend, we got two cases of small pack wings and FIVE cases of party wings. I filled the shelf and put the excess small pack wings in the well because we were light on whole chickens. I piled the excess party wings in the value pack section. They were gone by the end of the day.
We have a lot of ghetto shoppers at that store and they spend their food stamps on crab legs, shrimp and chicken wings.

By and large the EU as a whole dislikes it as it makes the EU dependent upon Russia for vital energy supplies. It also harms the Ukraine as it means Russia,'s dictator can can bypass Ukraine entirely. Germany's rulers are happy mostly because they are corrupt and getting paid by Putin as well getting cheaper natural gas and oil.
Don't mistake Germany for the entire EU thlugh.

I feel you, man. It is also not surprising that frozen wings are available while fresh wings are in tight supply. The USDA has millions of tons of every type of meat imaginable in cold storage. They will buy this meat when prices are low or their is excesses supply then release the frozen meat when there are supply shocks or dramatic price rises. It is the same concept with the National Peteoleum Stockpile. Only with meat.
Consumers don't see much difference other than everything is frozen instead of fresh.

The way I see it, humanity has been dodging several huge bullets, considering how some people are packed in tall buildings in place like SF and Tokyo
It's not great, but it's minced and does a decent chillie or spaghetti bolognese... if it's hydrated first.
