published last year revealed how being in a bad mood, and being exposed to trolling by others, double the likelihood of a person engaging in trolling themselves. In fact, initial trolling by a few can cause a snowball of increasing negativity, which is exactly what researchers found when they studied reader discussion on CNN.com, with the ‘proportion of flagged posts and proportion of users with flagged posts … rising over time’."

I wonder how much this research costs, I mean it’s so important to humanity ain’t it, not that the money could have gone to finding a cure for cancer or something stupid like that.

Human beings are jerks because every living thing on this planet is also a jerk. All the humans who weren't jerks were trimmed off the human family tree by evolution. It's a mean-ass sonofabitch of a world, and you'd better be a mean-ass sonofabitch if you don't want it to stomp a quantum mudhole in your ass.

Indisputably true, though, ain't it? This world will chew your ass and spit bubble gum unless you're just as much of a dick as the world is. The really, truly cruel thing is anybody telling little kids, "Ohhhh, you should be sweet and nice and gentle and--" Fuck that. Telling the most vulnerable members of the human race to be nice? For fuckin' why, so they can be killed off easy? That's fuckin' cruel, right there.

So do you think in general people are mostly jerks instead of friendly and caring?

Its true that once you get that negative vibe. Then it makes you all upset and makes you want to be an asshat but it doesn't always have to be that way. Staying positive means you can overcome the negativity. If all else fail, you could always make fun of the folks spreading all that negativity.
