Your country seems to be gettING more dangerous by the day, Dovey.
Oxford is a pretty small and quiet community. Lots of drug use....but mostly middle classers. My cousin lives out there.
Even my daughters district was on lockdown. I guess every school in the county goes on lockdown if anything happens.
Good that no one was killed. A handgun was used... even though you need a permit to carry this person managed to carry illegally and shoot at people.
Well I'm sitting right here in Michigan and it's no more dangerous then it was weeks ago when some psycho in Detroit was beheading hookers.
Not sure why this would make you think the country is "getting" more dangerous.
Must be all the armed law abiding citizens who are not killing people who are scary?
What?!
Somebody beheading hookers?
Sounds like something a Muslim would do.
Remember those Scandinavian women who got beheaded in Tunisia or Morocco.
Do you have the link?
No link. Most of the shit that happens in the bowels of that shit hole dont even get reported, Joe. I only know things because I have friends who are both on again off again junkies and friends who are paramedics in Wayne county.
I couldn't prove that elderly people were dying of heart attacks at home because they were too afraid to go to the ER and get exposed to Covid when it first hit.....but I know they were.
There is a big world operating beyond the media spotlight. I know we all know that (at least I hope we do) but its pays to try to keep that perspective. These days when I see things like shootings get reported my first question is "why is this one getting attention?"
You know?
Did a search & it says Michigan has a very high rate of violent crime and homicides. It is also one of the leading states where serial killers come from.
Geez no wonder yer always talking about that stuff. .Almost like you got ptsd and grew up in a permanent war zone Dovey.
Too bad you couldn't see the areas where me n Blurt live. Where Blurt lives probably no violence towards women or crime at all. Tho not as safe, Extreme violence of that kind is rare in Vancouver. You or your daughter would feel safe walking on the main streets here at night no weapons needed. More likely a gay man would get attacked long before you would. Attacks on them more common than women. Seriously. You'd probably find the peace deafening. Could ya handle it!?
It's too bad you may never have the opportunity to feel that sense of safety where you live.
Oh well in another life maybe.
