I never find blasphemous memes funny, ever. Even when I was not a believer.

Except this one got a laugh out of me

I mean whoever made that awful pic kinda left the door wide open. I get the whole sentiment....very poor execution lol.

Anyway....I'm very grateful that the real Jesus will save from any addiction and doesnt actually take over your arm and yeet your drugs lol

This is a picture that was painted by a talented little girl who apparently had a vision and met Jesus Christ.

And this is what she saw. It's called "Prince of Peace"

If you ain't handling snakes, are you even a Christian?

That's Pentecostals. They also do not believe anyone can be saved if they dont speak in tongues. And when people speak in "tongues" in the Pentecostal church...its total nonsense that no one can understand.

They get this from a severe misunderstanding of the book of Acts. When the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and they began "speaking in tongues". What actually happened there is God gave the Apostles the ability to speak in other human languages so they could go and spread the gospel. You know "make disciples of all nations". They needed to be able to communicate to do this.

For some reason, the Pentecostals have taken this as some narrative of salvation and that the sign that one is saved is they start "speaking in tongues". And the Pentecostal "tongues" is literal jibberish. It's not a language spoken by anyone.

God is a God of purpose and order. Not of confusion. This twisted version of Acts contradicts a lot of scripture and makes no sense at all.

Because of this Pentecostals are seen as a fringe denomination and rebuked as heretics by many Christian pastors.

I grew up around Pentecostals. I went to a private Pentecostal school. TBN was always on the TV(unless I was watching TV). So I saw a lot of Copeland and Benny Hin and Marilyn Hicky and the like. I said the "sinners prayer" and couldnt understand why I couldnt stop sinning and took it to mean that I was just bad and something was wrong with me.

I was very relieved to learn this isnt normal, isnt taught by the body of Christ or the bible.

Are you under some impression that this is some shared and fundamental thing done by Christian's? The dancing with snakes?

You chronic masterbators shall perish in the eternal hell fires, sorry about that, sounds rough.
Lemme guess, you've personally asked satan that you'll be ass up at the bottom of a riverbed of nigger jizz when you get to hell!

Liberty Hangout is a leftwing page that claims to be libertarian.

They really only fly on strawmen arguments that their readers think are real.

It's amazing how these people are so willfully ignorant and hateful about it.

There are two answers for this. Jesus Christ was correct when He said those who follow Him will be hated. He was hated first...so His flock will he hated.

People are in a state of natural opposition to God in our fallen state. (Children of wrath by nature)

This is what I'm inclined to believe.

And on a secular perspective, they are annoyed and angered by any belief system that criticizes their behaviour rather than affirms it. People create a lot of "feel good" religions that focus on "self love/self care" to a narcissistic level.

The weirdest thing about it is it almost ALWAYS involved pride and sexual behaviour.

The world says "love yourself".....Christ says "deny yourself".

My brother (more a soft agnostic than an atheist or believer) said of all the religions and belief systems....people are really the most angry at Christianity. Which has been the least violent and oppressive and is the MOST forgiving and grace centered. And that's really bizzare and it makes him look twice at Yahweh(who called this....people are angry at God).

Its convicting. People dont like that. They want to live for themselves in the flesh and try to make that spiritual. They want "religion"....but not one that convicts and sharpens.

People are desiring a spiritual experience and existence but they want THEMSELVES at the center.

Am I saying this right? Lol. Like the occult self help, manifest prosperity, anything you do is okay because you wers in a "growth" period and it was "part of your journey". If you leave your spouse and break up your family when there was no conflict ir abuse or infidelity .....its okay because you "grew past" that relationship.

They generally (and I'm like this as well btw....this is a human thing) dont want to look OUTSIDE themselves towards any higher power or Being to which we are accountable. To see how our decisions and actions harmed others. We dont exist in vacuums. We are part of families. Part of communities. Our thoughts and actions matter.

Instead, we want to make our actions excusable and "spiritual". But we make others suffer for our own selfish gain. None of us like to accept that....we give ourselves passes and we all but crucify others.

Like breaking up a family. Are we entitled to drag others through a harder life and inflict pain on them so we can move along on journey? No.

But that's the type of religion humans want because its makes them feel better. Temporarily though. They put themselves at the center and other end up becoming props in our journey.

When you look to God....and know Him for who He is according to the information given to us in the natural world and scripture....God is at the center. Not us. And we are now confronted by our own sin. And for those who follow God(to the genuine best of human ability and rely on Him for the rest).....that right there is the true liberation. Knowing we are broken and sinful but have hope and reason to turn from it, knowing all we have done was already paid for.

That conviction a believer has is called a "godly sorrow unto repentance". You just trust it's done and paid for and keep on walking.

When believers point out sins, it's not condemnation. It's a plea for the one in sin to turn from and trust in God. It's very freeing and healing to know it's not OUR battle....its Gods battle. And God isnt ever gonna lose what is His.

I would say choosing sin over God and all He gives is like choosing to live in a sewagey swamp ditch in a hut over a palace in paradise.

The message really kicks that hornets nest. No one really wants to see themselves as a bad guy. As a selfish, lying, hypocritical, theiving and self focused person. But that's indeed what we all are.
....to varying levels of course. But we all fall short.

That's why people get angry. I believe it's because they know this God is real so they rage about it and attack it. We all know inside ourselves there is something wrong and we carry shame and regrets. Even the best of us are bad. Jesus brought the cure for our messed up humanity. People have A LOT of resentment for the message of the gospel.

When I see people soft towards it....I see people who will likely see Gods kingdom. Just based on how i see scripture apply to the world around me.

I think that topic is best addressed by the words of Paul in first Corinthians

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

19 For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."

20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

22 Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom,

23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God"
