The only thing that disturbs me about the history of the Monarchy is the Czar of Russia asked his close cousin, the King of England at the time, refuge and the King of England denied him and the Czar of Russia and his entire family were executed. A complete tragedy that sickens me even to this day.

I think they were afraid of the backlash by the citizens of the UK that leaned left. It was a time where there was lots of anti monarchical sentiment and pro-Socialist sentiment. They should have taken them in; the Russian monarchy was brutal and uncaring about the people though.

They were sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place.

In my various travels, I have seen the Queen up close twice and I'm nearly certain she waved at me once, I think.

I can't bring myself to saying God Save the King just yet. I am in deep grief but listening to the ABC 24 and all the great comments about how much loved and respected our dear Queen and still is cheering me somewhat.

This is big.. this is huge. AND this is even bigger than Diana's passing was and that was a shock.

This is a shock too because we didn't know she had bone cancer...not until after she died.
