No...I rarely use that filthy communication device, and I agree with Sheriff that it's a forum post killer...but he keeps it around to appease the lonely old folks who find it relaxing to talk while sitting on the toilet.

I'm glad there is a shoutbox for members like me because the bulk of the topics are of a political nature. It's nice to have the box to discuss things other than politics.

I think what you see is that several posters post mostly in politics and the other forums are slow because there isn't a lot of engagement.
If you look at how many people have been online, most of them haven't posted in politics.

I don't like shout boxes...only because I can't type very well... my mobile phone corrects typing which is good but it also has auto correct and if you aren't careful, it makes stupid corrections.... anyway... shout boxes are a waste of good bandwidth in my opinion.

I have the issue of it posts words when I’m not done with the sentence or anywhere near the shout button. It’s spazztic.
People like to fight in there… so the energy is heavy and yucky. I avoid all areas like that here. You never know what’s contagious.
