I made the kids pasta, with a bacon sauce, bacon, fresh tomatoes, mushroom, celery, onions and garlic, pretty plain but they enjoy it, at least they have it with some extra ingredients in it now.
Not so long ago it was just bacon, garlic and tomato.
I didn't fancy that so I had French stick bread, pepper salami, some iceberg lettuce and a little mayonnaise.
I make quite a bit of the pasta sauce because for dinner tomo I'll cook it through again add some extra bacon and toms and I use it as the sauce for our weekly Saturday night homemade pizza.
