I've been at my 13 year old to cut down the 6 foot high potato plant just outside our front door which she planted a year ago and more resembles a tree. You see, puppy often shits there in the early morning when temps dip around 0 celsius, so we can't those dog shit taters, but it's blocking sunlight into the windows.
