There's a lot of old trunks and roots here. And others simply create their hills

We get a lot of dew here, so the top soil always has some moisture. The same conditions that make the land good to grow food, makes it a heaven for ants

Yes, the more water the more bugs.

That's another reason I like the arid climate.

I stepped on a 3” Scorpion yesterday. He got me right on the bottom of my foot. I felt him wiggle a little before he got me. Then he wiggled back under the washer

He got me pretty good. The small ones are the worst. Feels like an electric shock. My lips became numb for half a day before
