I remember having two garage sales in 1996 and 1997. We advertised in the local paper. We wanted to get rid of stuff at a fair price or even reasonable price. We were even open later in the day to unreasonable offers just to get rid of stuff we no longer wanted. The ads were clear. 9 am starts. But at 7 am, hoards of greeks and italians started showing up in vans and demanding to see what we had. Some even climbed our tall fences when we told them to fuck off and come back at 9. Some made ridiculous offers and threats. I told one that if he came over ny fence I was going to push a whipper snipper into his face.... then he fucked off.
