The trees on the other side of the fence, just waking up from winter, in this faint hazy city glow, look like a canvas my brother in law would paint.

Got flights booked round trip, Newport News to Seattle, 2 seats for $1K and change. With a stop in Philadelphia, which sucks. Protip: always book through Dallas. DFW rocks with a long layover!

Newport News in Virginia?

My brother trying to get me to come out to Seattle soon. I've been there a couple times, love the salmon, the mountains, and the weed lol.

That's the place. We're headed to Yakima to see the Goddess' dad, probably for the last time. And maybe sample some of the local vegetation....

Apologies to the master baiter who gets offended when I speak of someone who has a real meaning in my life.

Small f'n world oh you're so full of shit story:

My family first lived in Hampton Roads in 1962. My da was a plank owner on a submarine being delivered at Newport News Shipbuilding. One of his shipmates kicked off from a heart attack in his mid 20s. He had a son named Doug. Being about the same age, Doug and I used to play together.

Doug still lives in Hampton. He's a machinist at the shipyard. He works sometimes at this little 2 bay garage that his son Mitch owns in Newport News.

Mitch has been my go to mechanic for 6 years. I always had this dog tilting head every time I saw his da bent over an engine until I finally asked....

Story time.

I saw Muddy Waters perform at the Heartbreak Hotel in Providence in 1979. In the first set he sat on a stool and played old blues standards. The second show started at 22:30. He put away Lucille, turned it up, and dropped off the stage to dance with the crowd.

He picked up my girlfriend, a big breasted blonde, looked me straight in the eye, and said "What you gonna do, boy?" She had a great time, and truth, so did I. He sent us a drink before the doors closed.
