Almost as special as the Winter Solstice, the observance of which gave birth to the idea of Christmas..
My stepbrother-in-law was talking about that when we had our family gathering. Details, blah-blah-blah, the fucking Catholics, whatever. LOL

Well, it's a fact. The Catholics took all the Pagan celebrations and turned them into religious observances as a way to more easily convert Pagans to Christianity. How do Easter eggs have anything to do with Christ? Oh, they don't. They come from fertility rituals having to do with the Spring Equinox. Christmas tree = Christ? Nope. Christmas tree symbolized ongoing life even during the dead of winter. Winter Solstice.

Welcome to the facts, pal. People existed and had spiritual beliefs for tens of thousands of years before Christianity rolled around.

Since living here, we’ve had only one storm that flooded in parts of town. Many times these storms develop into hurricanes on the pacific side, race across the flats of Northern Nicaragua in to the Atlantic then north.
